Eligibility:
To be eligible for this course student must have:
- Completed either online course or 3-day on-site course
- Passed online examination
Course Goals:
- Practical application of workshops and course learning
- Become familiar with use of products for diabetic wound treatment
- Have the ability to apply training to day-to-day practice
Successful completion of this course can lead to certification in diabetic wound specialist. The knowledge you earn by taking this course should help you prevent diabetic foot complications and reduce the number of your diabetic patients requiring surgical intervention.

Single Day Program: Hands-On Workshop
8:00 AM: Registration
8:30 AM – 10:00 AM: Comprehensive Diabetic Foot Exam: Use Vascular Testing and Neuropathy Testing Devices
10:30 AM: Break
11:00 AM: Biomechanics and Gait Analysis: Arch Supports, Stretching, Heel Lifts, etc.
Noon: Lunch
1:00 PM: Offloading: Insoles, Orthotics, Pads, Shoes, Removable Walking Casts, Total Contact Casts
2:00 PM: Wound Dressings
2:30 PM: Biological Dressings
3:00 PM: Break
3:30 PM: Wound Vacuums
4:00 PM: Hyperbaric Oxygen
4:30 PM: Other Technologies
5:30 PM: End of Day
